Binding Target Devices Attached to the HBA Port Using the Fibre
Channel Port Configuration Dialog Box
NOTE:
Target persistent binding is done by associating a target ID with the world wide node
name and world wide port name of the target (targets can also be bound by port ID;
contact your authorized maintenance provider for more information). Persistent
binding information for targets is saved to persistent storage:
Registry (Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003)
/etc/modules.conf and /etc/qla2x00.conf files (Red Hat/SuSE Linux)
/kernel/drv/qla2x00.conf (Solaris SPARC)
Bind target devices to the attached HBAs using the Fibre Channel Port
Configuration dialog box, as described in the following steps:
1. To access the Fibre Channel Port Configuration dialog box, do the following
from the SANsurfer FC HBA Manager main window:
a. In the HBA tree, select the host (or HBA, HBA port, device, or LUN connected
b. Do one of the following:
