Running the User Interface in Demo Mode

NOTE: You can configure the Device Server to use a Mapped IP (MIP)
address. A MIP maps the destination IP address in an IP packet header
to another static IP address, enabling the managed device to receive
incoming traffic at one IP address, and automatically forward that traffic
to the mapped IP address. MIPs enable inbound traffic to reach private
addresses in a zone that contains NAT mode interfaces.
Click OK when you are finished.

Before you begin using NSM to configure and manage your network, we recommend that
you first run the UI in Demo mode to get familiar with its features. Demo mode is an option
in the UI enabling you to run the UI disconnected from the management system.
To run the UI in Demo mode:
Run the NSM UI. The Login window appears.
1.
Type any username in the Login field provided.
2.
Type any password in the Password field provided.
3.
Select *DEMO MODE* from the Server field list.

Click OK. The user interface appears in demo mode.

Use the demo mode interface with the Network and Security Manager Online Help and

the Network and Security Manager Administration Guide to gain familiarity with the
interface.
Now that you have completed installation of the NSM management system and UI, you
can begin to manage your network using NSM. Refer to the Network and Security Manager
Administration Guide for information describing how to plan and implement NSM for your
network. You can also refer to the Network and Security Manager Online Help for task
specific information.
