Replacing the Maintenance Cartridge
Maintenance Cartridge Handling Pre-
cautions
Follow the guidelines below when you handle the
maintenance cartridge.
Important
Never remove a maintenance cartridge until you are
ready to replace it.
To avoid ink spills with a maintenance cartridge that is
full of ink, never drop it and always lay it flat (never at
an angle). Spilled ink can stain the work area.
Ink adheres to the top of a used maintenance
cartridge. Handle maintenance cartridges carefully.
The ink could spill on your clothing and make stains
that cannot be removed.
Once a maintenance cartridge has been installed in
one printer, it cannot be installed in another printer.
