Replacing the Maintenance Cartridge

Replacing the Maintenance Cartridge
The maintenance cartridge vacuums excess ink that
accumulates as a result of borderless printing, printhead
cleaning, and ink mist produced by other operations. When
you see the message prompt that tells you to replace the
maintenance cartridge, replace the cartridge.

Checking Spacing Remaining in the
Maintenance Cartridge
You can confirm the amount of space remaining in the
maintenance cartridge at any time by checking the printer
operation panel display. You should always check the
amount of space remaining in the maintenance cartridge
before Heading Cleaning B, moving the printer, or any other
operation that could use up space in the maintenance
cartridge, and then replace the cartridge in advance.
