Chapter 5: Attaching Headers to Windrower

Refer to this chapter for instructions on attaching MacDon headers to the windrower.

5.1 A40DX Auger Header

This section details the procedures necessary to physically attach an A40DX Auger Header to the windrower and to
complete its hydraulic and electrical connections.

5.1.1 Attaching Forming Shield to Windrower

If the windrower will be paired with a MacDon A40DX Auger Header equipped with a conditioner, then the forming shield
should be installed on the windrower. The forming shield is not required if the windrower will be paired with an A40DX GSS
Auger Header, though it can be useful for crops such as radishes.
