The RS232 interface allows a recorder to communicate with a computer at
a distance of up to 50 feet (16 m). The RS232 port may be used for
distances in excess of 50 feet as long as special low capacitance cables are
utilized. The maximum load capacitance is 2500 F.
1. Press RS232 to open the RS232 programming screen.

2. Set up the following items as necessary for your communications
system:
a. Protocol: RTU (Modbus) or ASCII
b. Float Format: 1 x 32 or 2 x 16
c. Baud Rate: 1200 to 38400
d. Bits/Character: 7 (ASCII only) or 8
e. Parity: None, Odd, or Even
f. Stop Bits: 1 or 2
3. Press Close.
