a. Base Point: High peak, low peak, and time average calculations
must be performed on another point. This point is referred to as
the base point. To establish the base point, press the Base Point
input box and type in the base point number.
b. Reset Control: It may be desirable to have a Totalize, Gated Timer,
High Peak, or Low Peak point type be reset at a specified event or
at periodic intervals. Press Reset Control to program a reset.
i. Event: Event reset causes calculated points to be reset upon an
event switch closure. Press the input box and enter the event
number to be used to reset the point.
ii. Save on Reset: If you select no, Totalize, High Peak, and Low
Peak point types are reset after a power cycle. The values from
just before the power down are saved to the alarm-event file and
shown on the Alarm Event Summary screen. If you select yes,
these point type will not be reset after a power cycle. Instead,
they are preloaded with values just before the power down.
iii. Auto Reset: Set up this function if you want the point to reset
at certain intervals. You can program the reset to occur daily,
weekly, or monthly. Following are examples of how to set each.
Daily causes the point to reset at the top of each hour
throughout the day. For example, programming the daily reset
for a start time of 12:00 and with 1:00 intervals causes the
point to reset hourly, beginning at 12:00. Press Daily, and
continue to Start (hh:mm). Weekly causes the point to reset
once a week at the start time set and on the weekday you set.
For example, programming the weekly reset for a start time of
12:00 on Wednesdays causes the point to reset every
Wednesday at 12:00 that day. Press Weekly, and the Interval
(hh:mm) input becomes Weekdays (Mon–Sun). Press the input
box repeatedly until the desired day of the week is displayed.
Continue to Start (hh:mm). Monthly causes the point to reset
