Figure 10-1.
The Watchdog Timer test function tests the watchdog timer circuit which
monitors the software execution on the CPU. Initiating this test removes
the tickler signal from the watchdog timer, allowing the timer to time out
and reset the unit.
1. Press Watchdog Test.
2. Press Accept on the first screen, and the Unit Reset Timer screen is
displayed. The unit resets after 10 seconds.
This test allows you to verify each pixel in the screen is functioning. When
the test is initiated, the screen changes colors with each touch (red, blue,
green, white, black). When each color is displayed individually, you can see
if any pixels are not being turned on. Touch the screen to advance to the
next color.
This function allows you to test the functionality of two main features of
the discrete input/output circuitry for each of the installed GPIO cards.
The screen displays the slot where the GPIO board resides, as well as the
relays on it. It also displays, on the left side, the normal state of the relay.
The current state of the relay is displayed on the right side.
1. Press each box on the right side to see the relay change states.
2. Press Cycle Contacts On to cause the relays to continuously cycle
from open to closed.
3. Press Off to stop cycling, and press Cancel when testing is complete.
