Remove the main left guard as indicated in
"11.3.3 Removing the main left guard".
1. Remove the screw (1) with an 8 mm Allen
wrench.
2. Remove the pedal crank (2) with a pedal
crank remover.
WARNING: tighten the screw (1) with a
torque wrench set between 47Nm (34.7
lbf-ft) and 54Nm (39.8 lbf-ft).
WARNING: The pedal cranks must be
tightened individually, one at a time.
Counteract the force applied to the
torque wrench using the pedal crank.
To fit the right pedal crank back on the bike follow
the instructions in "11.4.3 Replacing the right and
left pedal crank".
