9.3 PROCEDURE FOR READING AND SETTING
THE GEAR RATIO (GENERATOR) ON THE WATT
SENSOR BOARD
With an equal number of pedal revolutions, the FEGO generator rotates 3 times faster than the
TONIC generator: this parameter set in the Watt Sensor board is called GEAR RATIO.
The following two conditions are necessary in order for the display to function correctly (display-
ing the correct rev value):
- In the case of a Group Cycle with the old Wi-Fi console, the High Kit software must be
greater than or equal to version 2.58 so the display can read the GEAR RATIO value,
- The GEAR RATIO is set correctly in the Watt Sensor board. The procedure for reading and
setting the GEAR RATIO is described below.
PROCEDURE FOR READING AND SETTING THE GEAR RATIO
ATTENTION: DO NOT PEDAL WHILE PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE.
1. Upgrade the High Kit SW ("7. SW upgrade");
2. Disconnect the console from the Watt Sensor board;
3. Connect the PC to the Watt Sensor board using a serial cable / 6 pin;
4. Launch the software: Terminal.exe.
5. Set the terminal as follows:
- Click Rescan, to the top left;
- Select the correct COM port;
