Procedure to Continue resurfacing the Control Sliding Panel continued
4. Inspect the sliding control panel, specifically the face of closing with the spacer. This face cannot have visible
grated rinds. If anomalies of this type are seen, these surfaces need to be resurfaced. If the closing face is
extensively worn-out in its interior cavity and has a depth lower than 2 mm, the Sliding Control Panel needs to
be replaced. To resurface the closing face of the sliding control panel, place the sandpaper on a completely flat
surface. Rub the sliding panel's face against the sandpaper until the surface is completely smooth. Before
assembling, inspect the lateral faces of the sliding control panel. They must not have heavy wear. If you
observe heavy wear, the Sliding Control Panel may need to be replaced. Verify that the springs in the Sliding
Control Panel are in good condition otherwise they will need to be replaced.

5. If the face of the spacer (Item #14) shows signs of wear, it must be resurfaced smooth. For resurfacing and
smoothing, place the industrial scrub on a flat surface and rub the entire face of the spacer against the scrub.
This will remove the majority of the scrapes. If scratches remain, repeat this task changing the scrub with very
fine sandpaper until the scratches are eliminated. If the scratches were very deep, mount a new spacer. Clean
the spacer before mounting it in the ETD. Verify that the O-Ring (Item #33) is in good condition and is set
properly in its housing.

6. Mount the repaired components. Make sure that the O-rings (Items #33 and 34) are in their housings. Mount
the Sliding Control Panel in its housing, simply push the Sliding Control Panel inward. Tighten the seven allen
screws (Item #31) and then connect the blue polyamide tubes with the elbows (Item #26) of the spacer. Mount
the ETD in the system and verify that it works correctly.
