1. While the Feed Pump [6] is in operation, hold a flash light behind the feed line clear braded suction hose
and look for any air entering this line. Air can enter from a hose connection, threaded connection, loose
valve packing gland. Air can also enter the Sea Strainer due to a missing, displaced, or damaged O-
ring.
2. Correct the air suction leak appropriately to ensure that the Feed Pump receives a constant supply of air
free feed water.
3. If air continually enters the system from the Inlet Thru-Hull [1] fitting evaluate the location of the
fitting and move it to a location on the hull that remains in constant contact with water.
e. POSSIBLE CAUSE: FEED PUMP ELECTRIC MOTOR IS NOT OPERATING OR THE FEED PUMP
WETTED END IS EXTENSIVELY DAMAGED.
1) Press Reset Fault Switch to reset and turn off the "High/Low Pressure" Fault Lamp.
2). Start the System
IF Similar symptoms as an air suction leak, all 4 (four) Pressure Gauges [5, 12, 16, & 18] are not registering any
pressure at all this would indicate that either the Feed Pump Electric Motor is not operating or that there is
extensive damage to the Feed Pump wetted end. See Feed Pump Maintenance and Repair later in this
Section.

1. Check the Feed Water Pump to ensure that the electric motor is operating. If not trouble shoot the
electric motor and the electrical power circuit supplying the electric motor.
2. If the Electric Motor is operating the problem may be within the Feed Pump Wetted End.
