Strainer [4] and Feed Pump [6] then position
this valve to draw from the Rinse/Clean
Solution Container [38].
3. Configure the Brine Discharge line for a Once
Through process.
a. Connect the Brine Discharge Line from the
System to the Thru-Hull over board discharge
fitting [22], this is the normal connection for
normal operation.
Or
If the System is equipped with an Optional
Discharge Rinse/Clean Outlet Valve [37]
position this valve to discharge through the
Brine Discharge Connector [22], this is the
normal connection for normal operation.
D. When the instructions within this section state
"configure for R.O. Membrane Element Cleaning
Closed Loop" proceed as follows:
Refer to the two diagrams illustrated on page 7 of
this section.
1. In order to relieve pressure during the Closed Loop
process the Product Relief Tube Kit must be
installed.
a. Disconnect only one end of the High Pressure
Hose [21] MVA Outlet/Energy Transfer Device
Return either from the R.O. Membrane/Vessel
Assembly [20] Outlet (Brine Discharge end) or
from the ETD [17] Return Port "R" (which
ever is easier to access).
b. Connect the Product Relief Tube Kit to the
loose end of the High Pressure Hose [21] and
to the exposed fitting on the R.O.
Membrane/Vessel Assembly [20] Outlet or the
ETD [17] Return Port "R" fitting (which ever
fitting the High Pressure Hose [21] was
disconnected from).
c. Route the 1/4 inch O.D. Tube from the Pressure
Relief Tube Kit into the Rinse/Clean Solution
Container [38] or bucket.
2. Configure the Suction line for a Closed Loop
process.
a. Close the Sea Cock Valve [2].
b. Disconnect the outlet line from the Sea Strainer
[4] and place it in the Rinse/Clean Solution
Container [38].
Or
If the System is equipped with an Optional
Inlet Rinse/Clean Valve [36] between the Sea
Strainer [4] and Feed Pump [6] then position
this valve to draw from the Rinse/Clean
Solution Container [38].
3. Configure the Brine Discharge line for a Closed
Loop process.
a. Disconnect the Brine Discharge Line from the
Thru-Hull over board discharge fitting [22]
and place it in the Rinse/Clean Solution
Container [38].
Or
If the System is equipped with an Optional
Discharge Clean/Rinse 3-way ball valve [37]
position this valve to return to the Rinse/Clean
Solution Container [38].
