1. TROUBLE SHOOTING BY PRESSURE GAUGE READINGS.
SYSTEM NORMAL PRESSURE GAUGE READINGS:
If the System has been installed properly and there are no abnormalities during operation in typical seawater then the
Pressure Gauge Readings should be similar to the below illustration:

[5] Feed Pump Inlet Compound Vacuum/Pressure Gauge is at 0 (zero) pressure or slightly into the Vacuum range -5
In Hg. This indicates that there is no blockage in the suction portion of the Feed Line: No blockage at the inlet
thru-hull fitting [1], inlet seacock valve [2], sea strainer mesh screen [4].
[12] Prefilter Inlet Pressure Gauge is reading approximately 100 to 160 PSI (depending on specific model, refer to
New System Readings in the Commissioning Section of this Manual). This indicates that the Feed Pump [6] is
performing normally, and that there is no blockage prior to it or after it.
[16] Prefilter Outlet Pressure Gauge is reading 90 to 150 PSI (depending on specific model, refer to New System
Readings in the Commissioning Section of this Manual). This indicates that the Prefilter Elements are clean with
only a 10 PSI drop in pressure across the Prefilters.
[18] High Pressure (R.O. Membrane Outlet & ETD Return Port "R") is reading 590 to 680 PSI (depending on
specific model, refer to New System Readings in the Commissioning Section of this Manual). This indicates that the
ETD [17] is performing properly.
HIGH/LOW PRESSURE FAULT LAMP:
During Operation, if the System experiences a LOW PRESSURE condition the "High/Low Pressure" Fault Lamp
will Illuminate intermittently (blinking on and off) for 20 seconds prior to the System shutting itself off, and the
"High/Low Pressure" Fault Lamp will remain Illuminated after the System has shut off. See LOW PRESSURE
ABNORMALITIES Troubleshooting.
During Operation, if the System experiences a HIGH PRESSURE condition the "High/Low Pressure" Fault Lamp
will Illuminate and immediately the System will shut off with no "blinking lamp" delay, and the "High/Low
Pressure" Fault Lamp will remain Illuminated after the System has shut off. See HIGH PRESSURE
ABNORMALITIES Troubleshooting.
