Chapter 6—Configuration Command Reference
Syntax: YTn.data
Default: Enabled without TMF
Menu System: Main Menu > Configuration Menu > Communications Menu > Serial
Bar Codes: To set the default for each serial port, scan these bar codes:

Options for Configuration Commands Via Serial Port
Option
Description
Disabled
All data received through the serial port is treated as data. The terminal
will not execute reader or configuration commands sent or encoded in
the data.
Enabled
If the data is sent with the TMF (Terminal Message Format) header, the
with TMF
terminal will check for and execute reader or configuration commands
received through the serial port. With TMF, you can execute reader and
configuration commands or send and receive data about the current
terminal configuration.
Enabled
The terminal will check for and execute all reader and configuration
without
commands (i.e., Receive File reader command or Beep Volume change
TMF
configuration command).
Note: Before you can enable Configuration Commands Via Serial Port
with or without TMF, you must configure the EOM command.
