Installing General Station Description (GSD) files
After activating Profinet via the web interface of the sensor, you have to install the GSD file
(product-specific driver) in the Siemens software. The GSD file describes the scope of the
Profinet function in the device (e.g. the available modules) and is required for configuration.

The GSD file is available for download at www.baumer.com/OX200.
To install the GSD file, proceed as follows:
Instruction:
a) Open the Siemens software.
b) In the menu, select Options | Manage general station description files (GSD).
c) Select the GSD file to be installed and click Install.
