6.4 Installing Cable Troughs on the Top of In Row Air
Conditioners Inside the Modular Data Center
Context
Connect the cable trough on the top of the in-row air conditioner inside the modular data
center with the cable troughs on both sides in parallel. Do not secure cable trough bottom to
the air conditioner. You do not need to drill holes onsite.
Procedure
Step 1 Roll or saw the clasps on the bottom of the cable trough.
Step 2 Assemble cable troughs on the top of the air conditioner.
Step 3 Rotate the parallel wrench to connect the cable trough with the cable troughs on both sides in
parallel. For details, see

6.5 Installing End Panels for Cable Troughs
Context
Typically, end panels are installed only on cable troughs of cabinets on both ends of an aisle.
The BOM code is 21500561. The end panels are marked by different colors to facilitate the
recognition of power and signal cables. The red end panel should be installed on the trough
for power cables, and the blue end panel should be installed on the trough for signal cables. In
a cold aisle containment, the power cable troughs are installed on the side close to the aisle. In
a hot aisle containment, power cable troughs are installed on the side far away from the aisle.
This topic uses the hot aisle containment as an example to describe how to install the end
panels for cable troughs.
The end panels for cable troughs should be installed after the end doors are installed;
otherwise, the end doors may fail to be installed.
Procedure
Step 1 Hold the top of the end panels with both hands to keep it vertical. Press it from up to down
into the hooks at the end of the cable troughs until the top of the end panels aligns with the top
of the cable troughs.
