7.4 Installing Switches

Context
Switches can be classified into common door switches, emergency door switches, and lighting
switches. They are optional components. Install the appropriate switches in an access control
system or lighting system.


This section describes how to install a common door switch. Refer to the following steps to
install the other types of switches.
Procedure
Step 1 Remove the four screws from the real panel of the door and take away the panel.

Step 2 Remove the baffle from the panel.

Install common door switches and emergency door switches only when the access
control system is installed.
Install lighting switches only when the lighting system is installed.
