9.1.7 Installing a Camera

Step 1 Connect one end of the network cable to the Ethernet port on the camera.
Step 2 Remove the base from the camera, use bolts to secure the base to the ceiling,
counterclockwise tighten the dome camera to the base, and use screws to secure it, as shown
in
Figure

Step 3 Use the hexagon screwdriver delivered with the camera to remove the explosion-proof screws,
and take down the dome cover, as shown in

A camera and tools for installing it have been prepared.
A network cable for connecting the camera to the switch has been prepared.
The switch has been normally powered on.
This topic describes how to install and commission a camera in a room. Two persons are
required for the commissioning.
Cameras may need to be installed on different carriers in different scenarios. An
aisle-level camera should be installed on a control skylight, and a room-level camera
should be installed on a ceiling or wall. If a camera should be installed on the ceiling, it
need to be installed on a suspended ceiling. The methods for installing cameras on
different carriers are the same. This section describes how to install a camera on the
ceiling.

If it is on a concrete wall, use plastic expansion tubes and tapping screws to secure the camera.
If it is on a control skylight, use M3x10 screws to secure the base to the control skylight.
Prior to installing the camera, properly install related cables to avoid removing it from time to time.
