Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS)
Step
1
CHECK INPUT SIGNAL FROM ECM.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Measure the voltage between ECM and
chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B137) No. 12 (+) — Chassis ground (

CHECK INPUT SIGNAL FROM ECM.
1) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2) Measure the voltage between brake switch
connectors.
Connector & terminal
(B137) No. 12 (+) — Chassis ground (
3
CHECK BRAKE SWITCH.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Measure the resistance between ECM and
chassis ground with brake pedal depressed.
Terminal
(B65) No. 1 — (B65) No. 4:

CHECK BRAKE SWITCH.
Measure the resistance between brake switch
connectors with brake pedal depressed.
Terminal
(B65) No. 1 — (B65) No. 4:
Check
Is the voltage more than 10 V? Go to step 2.
