The read-only line-diag-stat profile reports the statistics obtained from the IDT and
BERT and the status of the test. Following is a listing of the profile, shown with

Diagnostic internal, external, and bit error-rate tests
Setting
Duration of the bit-error-rate test (BERT). Specify one of
the following values:
1 minute (the default)
2 minutes
3 minutes
4 minutes
5 minutes
10 minutes
15 minutes
20 minutes
30 minutes
Enable or disable bit-error-rate test (BERT). (Note that a
BERT disrupts data transmission.) Specify one of the
following values:
no (default)—Line is disabled for BERT.
yes—Line is enabled for BERT.
Whether internal diagnostic testing is enabled on the line.
no (default)—Line is disabled for loopback testing.
yes—Enables internal diagnostic testing on the line.
Number of messages that the internal control module
hardware sends to the line. Each message corresponds to
four ATM cells. The data payload of each message consists of
sequential numeric data. By default, the value of this
parameter is set to 1000. Enter a value from 0 to 10000.
