Tech Service Bulletin No. 4027/4527/5035/5535/4022/4522 - 025

CAUSE 2:
When the Jogger Motor is operating, if there is a
drop in voltage of 5V, the ISP may malfunction, and
as a result, two phases of the motor will continue to
be supplied with power.
CAUSE 3:
Transfer Bias is applied to the Transfer Belt during stand-by.
SOLUTION 1:
The software will be modified so that a signal processing function is inserted prior to the signal r eceipt that is
activated when the ADS Density signal is sent. As a result, the abnormal signal route will be chang ed in the
following manner:
Pre-start signal sent - signal received - ADS Density signal sent.
Pre-start signal processed - signal received - ADS Density signal processed.
SOLUTION 2:
The software will be modified so that the power to the Jogger Motor will automatically shut "OFF" if any of
the phases of the motor run continuously for 3 minutes or longer. If this problem has occurred, the portion of
the Duplex Tray that contacts the Jogger Motor most likely has become deformed due to excessive heat
generated by the Jogger Motor. If this has occurred, replace the entire Duplex Tray when installing the new
ROM.
NOTE: Contact your Regional TSM for warranty information regarding the replacement of the Duplex Unit
if this problem occurs.
SOLUTION 3:
The software will be modified so that the Transfer Bias shuts "OFF" when the Main Motor stops.
