SUBJECT: TONER END SENSOR WIPER ARM
SYMPTOM:
Light copies, toner bottle does not rotate.
CAUSE:
The Toner Wiper Arm becomes deformed and does not clean the Toner End Sensor sufficiently. As a res ult,
the sensor does not signal a low toner condition.
FIELD COUNTERMEASURE:
Reform the Wiper Arm Spring so that there is no end play as illustrated below.
The Wiper Arm Spring moves away from the
Toner End Sensor due to too much end play

PRODUCTION COUNTERMEASURE:
The Wiper Arm Spring has been modified and is now available as a service part.
