AUTO "OFF" MODE
When the Auto "OFF" timer expires, the machine cuts all power to the copier. The Auto "OFF" timer ca n be
programmed with SP5-305. The power is re-supplied when the main switch is turned back on. The main
switch for this copier has three positions. You must press and hold the switch in the "ON" position for 1 to 2
seconds to power "ON" the machine. As with the energy saver mode, the longer the machine has been
powered '"OFF", the longer it will take to return to a Ready condition.
To automatically turn "OFF" the copier, a new type of main switch with an incorporated coil is used. When
the CPU drops CN143-1 from +24V to 0, the main switch contacts are opened. The wiring diagram and
connector layout are shown below.
NOTE: For part numbers, refer to Technical Service Bulletin No. 4027/4527/5035/5535/4022/4522 - 011.

ANTI-CONDENSATION HEATER CONNECTORS
To meet very strict power consumption specifications in Auto "OFF" mode, the anti-condensation heate r
connectors are kept disconnected at the factory. At the time of installation, check the humidity co nditions at
the customer site and connect the heater connectors if necessary.
CAUTION:
Unplug the copier power cord before setting the anti-condensation heater connector.
This is because even though the main switch may be turned "OFF", AC current is still
supplied to the anti-condensation circuit.
