field and the countermeasures to be taken for each.
Hot Offset (excessive fusing)
After consecutive paper feeds, periodic offsets occur (125mm pitch). Similar problems are sometimes found
when using comparatively thin paper.
Action:
• Check the fusing temperature. Is it set too high? The maximum temperature is 190 °C.
• Is the thermistor coming in contact with the roller? Confirm that the thermistor comes in firm cont act
with the roller. Check for deformation of the thermistor unit.
• Is the thickness of the paper within specifications? Standard: 14 ~ 42lbs.
• Install the new style Fusing Thermistor. (refer to TSB #FT4027/4527/5035/5535/4022/4522-015, Update
