2. Cut squarely through the jacket, shield, and insulation, exposing 9.5 mm
(0.38 in.) of the conductor. Slide the nut over the cable jacket.
3. Insert the conductor into the tapered, self-clamping sleeve and contact; force
the edge of the sleeve between the insulator and the shield until insulation
covers the taper. Solder the conductor to the contact of the solder hole. Remove
the excess solder from the outside of the contact.
4. Fit the contact into the plug body; screw the nut into the body, binding the
jacket and shield tightly against the tapered sleeve. The cable should not be
allowed to twist as the nut is tightened.
5. Check for shorts between the plug body and the conductor.
