2. Clear the jammed or torn form. If paper is difficult to remove from the
printhead area, note the setting on the AFTA wheel. Rotate the AFTA wheel to
a higher number to clear the jam, and return the AFTA wheel to the original
setting.
3. Reload forms.
4. Press Stop.
5. Check to ensure the rear tractor paper door is opened for the forms to exit
through.
6. Ensure the metal deflector on the forms guide and the paper bail are in the
correct positions. For the correct positions, see "Installing the Forms Tractor"
for the forms path you are currently using in Chapter 17, "Setting Up Forms
Paths".)
7. Close the tractor covers and the top cover.
8. Press Start. The printer becomes not ready.
9. Press Load/Eject or Start to load forms and restart the print job.
10. If the message displays again, perform the actions under "Forms buckle, twist,
jam, or tear." (See "Problem List Index" on page 313.)
If the message displays again, clean the tractor sensors with a soft, clean cloth.
If the message still displays, call for service.
022 UNIT ADDRESS NOT RECEIVED
CHECK PRINTER ADDRESS
Recovery:
1. Press Stop.
2. The unit address has not been received. Check the address setting with your
computer operator.
3. Verify your printer address is set to the correct number. See "Printer Address"
in Chapter 7, "Twinaxial Configuration".
4. Press Start.
026 HEX PRINT MODE ACTIVE
The printer displays this message after you press Hex Print.
Recovery:
1. Press Start. All data will print in hexadecimal code until you press Stop.
027 COMMUNICATIONS CHECK
CALL SYSTEM OPERATOR
028 COMMUNICATIONS CHECK
CALL SYSTEM OPERATOR
A problem exists in the host configuration or the physical connection.
Recovery:
1. Press Stop.
2. Check the control unit for ready and proper connection.
