Twinax Signal Cables And Connectors - IBM 3 User Manual

The following diagram shows several possible ways of connecting your printer to
the computer.
If you install a signal cable outside the building, order a station protector kit to
protect your printer from lightning. You can order the kit from your IBM
marketing representative (allow a lead time of 120 days).
One kit (IBM part 7361807) provides two protectors. You need one protector at
each end of the twinax cable when the cable is installed outdoors (either above or
below ground level). Individual protectors are available for replacement (IBM part
7362426).
If you are ordering cables from sources other than IBM, see Appendix B, "Cable
Specifications and Assembly of Cables", for specifications.
