for damage and wear.

Check axial bearing
for damage and wear.

If there is damage or wear:

Change the axial bearing.

Check the contact surface of pressure cap
»
If there is damage or wear:

Change the pressure cap.

Check the length of clutch springs
Clutch spring - length
»
If the clutch spring length is less than the specified value:
–
Change all clutch springs.
–
Place push rod
on a level surface and check for run-out.
»
If there is run-out:
–
Change the push rod.

Clamp main shaft
in the vise with the toothed end of the coupling side facing downward.
Specification
Use soft jaws.
–
Remove stop disk
and fixed gear
–
Remove the fourth-gear idler gear
–
Remove stop disk
and lock ring
–
Remove the third-gear sliding gear
–
Remove stop disk
.
–
Remove the fifth-gear idler gear
–
Take the main shaft out of the vise.
