8 Camera Setup Instructions

8.1 Quick Setup

Note: If the light source where the camera is installed experiences rapid, wide variations in
lighting, the camera may not operate as intended.
To quickly put the camera into operation:
1. Prepare the mounting surface.
2 Mount the camera using the appropriate fasteners.
3. Connect the camera to the local network via Ethernet cable or Wi Fi.
4. Learn the camera into the UltraSync App using the "Scan for New Cameras" button in
Section 4.12 Camera Configuration

8.2 Setting up Ethernet/Wi Fi transmission

Wi Fi transmission distance
The Wi Fi transmission distance/range of the camera is approximately 50 m (164 ft.) in open
air applications.
Note: The transmission distance may vary due to the presence of physical obstacles, such
as trees, walls, elevators, fire doors, furniture, etc. Avoid very solid walls and metallic objects
in the transmission path. Other Wi Fi networks (for example Wi Fi, WiMAX) operating on
2.4 GHz and certain types of devices (e.g., microwave oven point-to-point Wi Fi transmission)
can cause interference with your network. The result would lead to a reduction in
transmission distance/range.
