Task 1: Configure IP and Ethernet interfaces
This task consists of the following procedures:

Configuring the management PC

Connecting to the PC and powering up

Logging into the web interface

Updating the IP and Ethernet configuration

Reconnecting to the management PC
Configuring the management PC
To configure the local management PC to communicate with the PTP 600, proceed as
follows:

Select Properties for the Ethernet port.
Select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item as shown in
Click on Properties.
If the default IP addresses of the units are 169.254.1.2 (Master) and
169.254.1.1 (Slave), enter an IP address that is valid for the
169.254.X.X network, avoiding:
169.254.0.0 and 169.254.1.1 and 169.254.1.2
If the default IP addresses of the units are 10.10.10.11 (Master) and
10.10.10.10 (Slave), enter an IP address that is valid for the 10.10.X.X
network, avoiding:
10.10.0.0 and 10.10.10.10 and 10.10.10.11
For example, the interface in

Enter a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0.
Leave the default gateway blank.
