After you remove a removable-media drive, look for a plastic
filler panel and metal shield that came in your shipment (see
Figure 2–12). To fill in the space that the front of the drive
occupied:

If you did not order a removable-media drive from the factory
when you placed your order with Digital, and are installing one
now, you must first remove the plastic filler panel and metal
shield from the front bezel on the system unit cover.
