Enter the
show device
to display the status of the drives, as explained in the
section entitled Recording Information Before Making
Changes at the beginning of this chapter.
From this display, you can:
Compare the new display with the display you viewed
when you prepared the system. You should see the
new drive, and the drive that was in the system before
you made the addition. If the new drive is not in the
list, it has not been installed properly.
Verify that devices are set to the correct SCSI settings
(ADDR) so that all devices can be accessed.
Verify that there are no error messages. If there are
error messages, write them down. See Chapter 8.
