Table 2–2 explains the elements in Figure 2–2.

Element
Description
The system model number.
The revision number of the VPP PAL (privileged
architecture library) code: where Xn.nn is for
OpenVMS AXP or for the DEC OSF/1 AXP PAL code,
and the date on which it was released.
The physical addresses for baseboard devices, as
follows:
Slots 0 and 1 are for TURBOchannel
devices (Models 300/300X/300LX only). If a
TURBOchannel module requires both slots 0
and 1, only slot 0 is listed in the display.
Slots 2 and 3 are reserved.
Slot 4 is for a SCSI device.
Slot 5 is for I/O control.
Slot 6 is for the CXT (integral 2D accelerated
graphics module).
Slot 7 is for the system CSRs.
Device name or mnemonic.
The status of the device:
KN16-AA identifies the CPU type.
Vx.x identifies the system revision.
Syyy identifies the system ROM edit revision.
Izzz identifies the I/O ROM edit revision.
sx.x identifies the serial ROM edit revision.
DECchip 21064 P3.0 identifies the AXP chip
revision.
OK means that the device is installed correctly and
diagnosed to be OK.
A blank means there is no test for this device.
