Recommended Many printers, including third-party plotters, can be used with

the printer and set the baud rate.

Modems

Purpose A modem is a device that converts computer signals to signals
that can be sent over a telephone line. Modems are typically
used for communications in large networks, such as wide area
networks (WANs).
A variety of modems can be used with your DEC 3000 Model
300 Series AXP system, the baud rate and model is specified
in the operating system documentation. See your Digital sales
representative for a list of the recommended modems.
