Removable-Media
The setting of the SCSI switches on the removable-media drive
Drive SCSI
enables the system to recognize the drive. Normally, the SCSI
address for removable-media drives should be preset to a SCSI
Switch Settings
ID of 5.
However, if your drive is not preset to SCSI ID of 5, you need to
change it only if the drive's setting is already taken by another
device installed in your system.
If you do change the setting, use a small pointed instrument
(such as the tip of a ballpoint pen) to move the switches. Do not
use a pencil; graphite particles can damage the switches. Refer
to Appendix B for an illustration of SCSI ID settings.
