Basic Setup Procedure

Table 2-1 provides a summary of the basic setup procedure with references to the relevant
sections in this chapter. Refer to this table if you are unfamiliar with the installation
requirements for the power supply. Complete each step in the sequence given.

Inspect the power supply.
Install the power supply
(benchtop or rack mount).
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Connect AC input power.
Select wires that are correctly
rated for the maximum DC
output current.
Perform functional tests for
voltage mode operation, current
mode operation, and front panel
controls.
Connect the load wires to the
DC output.
Connect remote sensing
connectors on power supply to
load.
