5. Daily Maintenance

In order to maintain optimum copy quality, always keep areas below clean.

Clean the Platen Glass

Use a clean, soft cloth to wipe dirt or marks from the glass
surface. If it is difficult to clean, use a slightly damp cloth.
Please Be Reminded!
Never use benzene, thinner or any other volatile liquid to
clean them.

Clean the Left Partition Glass

The glass partition at the far left of the platen glass should be
kept clean; otherwise soiled marks may be copied, resulting in
dark lines on the copies.
Clean the slit glass with a clean soft cloth.

Clean the RADF Platen Guide Cover

The RADF platen guide cover should be kept clean; otherwise
soiled marks may be copied or document sizes may not be
detected correctly.
Wipe with a clean, soft cloth.

Never use benzene, thinner or any other volatile liquid to
clean them.
