enable snmp traps {port-up-down ports [all | mgmt | <portlist>]}
Description
Enables SNMP port up/down traps (also known as link up and link down traps) for the indicated
ports.
Syntax Description

mgmt
<portlist>
Default
Enabled.
Usage Guidelines
This command is used to enable the sending of link up and link down traps for the specified ports. To
see which ports have such traps enabled, use the show management command.
Example
The following command will enable link up or link down traps on all ports of the switch (except the
management port if it has one).
enable snmp traps port-up-down all
History
This command was first available in ExtremeWare 6.2.2
This command was modified to include the management port in ExtremeWare 7.0.0.
This command was added to the Summit "e" series of switches in ExtremeWare 7.2e.
Platform Availability
This command is available on all platforms.
ExtremeWare 7.5 Command Reference Guide
Specifies that link up/down traps should be sent for all ports. This does not
include the management port which must be explicitly specified.
Specifies that link up/down traps should be sent for the management port.
This option only appears on platforms that have a management port, such as
the Summit 400.
Specifies a list of ports.
