Bay 1 and Bay 2 Interfaces

The Dell™ PowerConnect™ 6200series switches support dual 10 Gb slot interfaces. These interfaces can
operate at 10 Gbps when supporting optional SFP+, CX4, XFP , and 10GBase-T modules.

Serial Cable Connection

You can use the supplied serial cable (null-modem) to connect the switch to a terminal for initial setup
and configuration (You can also use a computer running terminal emulation software). The switch's
serial cable is a female to female DB-9 crossover cable.

Connecting the Switch to a Terminal

1. Connect the serial cable to the terminal (console) ASCII DTE RS-232.
2. Connect the serial cable to the switch's serial port.
3. If you are configuring a stack, connect the interface cable to the serial port of the Master switch.
