7 Click Finish to save the changes. The SNMP Setup page in the Modify
Management Services wizard appears.
8 To add other SNMP trap receivers, repeat step 5 through step 7 for each
trap receiver.
You can add a maximum of five trap receivers. To delete a trap receiver,
select it from the Trap Receivers list, and click Remove. The trap receiver
is deleted.
9 Do one of the following:
Go to "Configuring Logging".
Select another item in the WX Switch wizard, if you are using this
wizard.
Click Finish to close the wizard and save changes.
Events that occur on a WX can be stored or sent to different destinations.
Events can be stored in a local buffer on the WX. This buffer can be
viewed with Web Manager or archived and viewed in Event Viewer
(see "Accessing the Event Log" on page 461).
Events can be displayed on the console port of the WX.
Events can be displayed in an active Telnet session.
Events can be sent to one or more syslog servers, as specified in RFC
3164.
You can enable and configure each target independently with a severity
filter for these events.
If you enable 3WXM to check for events in the network (using the
Preferences dialog box), you can specify the interval at which checks
occur. For more information about changing preferences, see "Changing
3WXM Logging Options" on page 514.
Setting Up System Logging
1 Do one of the following:
Open the WX Switch wizard, then select Log under Management
Services in the organizer list of the System and Administrative page.
In the Organizer panel, select Management Services under a WX
switch or Domain Policies, then select Edit > Properties. Click on Log
at the top of the wizard.
