3.1.4 Instrument Setup

Click the [Instrument Setup] button (<3> in Fig. 3-1) to open
the Instrument setup window (Fig. 3-3).

The tab for the element selected in the Element window will
be displayed. To change view from one element to another,
click tab (<1> in Fig. 3-3) such as [1-Mg], [2-Cr], [3-Mn] on
the window. The following condition input is required for
all the set elements.

Signal Mode
BKG Correct. is normally used, and need not be
changed
BKG Correct.:
Measurement is made using background
correction signal (obtained by subtracting
reference signal from sample signal) via the
polarized Zeeman method.
Sample:
Measurement with uncorrected absorption signal
(corresponding to sample beam in double beam
optics)
