5.3 Troubleshooting

Symptoms
1. Indicator lamp does not
light after power on.
Pump does not operate.
2. Reagent cannot be
aspirated.
(while pump is
operating)
If a trouble occurs on the instrument, it should be eliminated with
reference to Table 5-1. For a trouble outside the range of this table,
contact the local service representative.
Table 5-1 Troubleshooting
Causes (check methods)
The power cord at rear is not connected.
(Check the power connecter.)
Fuse is not set.
(Check the fuse.)
Fuse is blown.
(Check the fuse.)
Argon gas is not supplied.
(Check argon gas connection.)
Argon gas pressure is inadequate.
(Check gas pressure.)
The argon gas cylinder is empty.
(Check the residual pressure in the
cylinder.)
Tube support is not set.
(Check tube support.)
Pump tube is separated from rotor
groove.
(Check tube length.)
Pump tube is torn.
(Check tube.)
Tip of reagent tube is not dipped into
each solution.
(Check solution volume and tube tip.)
Pump tube is hardened due to long
storage at low temperature.
(Aspirate reagent by pressing the tube
support.)
The connection of each tube is loose.
Clogged air bubbles in the pump tube

Remedies
Connect the power cord
Be sure to disconnect power
cord, and then set fuse.
Be sure to disconnect power
cord and then set fuse.
Supply argon gas
Adjust gas pressure to
500 kPa.
Replace it with a full
cylinder.
Set tube support firmly.
Adjust the length of pump
tube and set the tube again.
Replace the tube.
Dip the tip of tube into
reagent.
Increase solution volume.
Wait until temperature rises.
Replace the pump tube.
Connect firmly.
Put the liquid from the tube
tip to the pump tube.
