a. Connect PC and Master Modem to a network switch (not provided).
b. Turn on the PC and the Modem.
c. Once the Modem Status LED has turned green, open the HCI program.

6.4.2 Set the Mode of the Modem

a. Set the Modem to Maintenance Mode, if in Maintenance Mode skip to Section
6.4.3.
b. Select Configure → Mode. (See Figure 6-11)
c. Select Maintenance and then click OK. (See Figure 6-12)
d. The Modem will change modes. Wait until the new mode has completed
initializing to proceed.

6.4.3 Set the CDU and Data Ports

This will set the CDU and Data Ports to a desired network configuration.
