MPM-1000A Operator Manual
HOW TO ACCESS INFORMATION QUICKLY AND EASILY
When viewed electronically, the Table of Contents contains links to corresponding
pages, tables and figures in this manual. To access these links, hold down the [CTRL]
key and click on the page number or title to jump to the desired page. Note that the
cursor will change to a "hand" when placed on the link. Links are also found throughout
this manual enabling the user to jump directly to tables and figures.
Within the document, several conventions are used to differentiate commands and
screen features from common text. The following are the Command Description
Conventions used in this manual:
Commands, keywords, menu options and buttons are in boldface text
Filenames, software screen/window titles, and document titles are in italics
Keyboard commands are capitalized and bracketed around the text, all text to
include brackets bold (ex: "Press the [ENTER] key", "Press the [ESC]" key)
The following are Interactive Example Conventions used in this manual:
Terminal sessions and system messages are in Courier New font
Information that the user is required to enter is in boldface Courier New font
User defined parameters such as passwords are in <angle brackets>
When navigating through multiple software menus, right arrows are used to
differentiate movement between different options (ex: Select Configure →
System)
When using this manual the following terms are interchangeable:
Control Display Unit (CDU) and Personal Computer (PC)
Human Computer Interface (HCI) and Graphic User Interface (GUI)
MIL-STD-188-165A, Single Channel Per Carrier (SCPC), Frequency Division
Multiple Access (FDMA), and Spoke
MIL-STD-188-EEE, Network Centric Waveform (NCW), and Multi-Frequency
Time Division Multiple Access (MF-TDMA)
