DATA ETHERNET Interface
The Modem has an 802.3 Ethernet interface compatible with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T
and 1000BASE-T. It is possible to control the IP-Modem through this port. This interface
is located on the rear panel J1 connector.

SCPC Baseband Interface
The Modem has the SCPC Baseband interfaces defined in Table 14-10 The pin
assignment complies with the Electronic Industries Association (EIA)-530A standard for
balanced signals.
The Baseband Data port supports bi-directional baseband data transfer between an
external Baseband device and the IP-Modem. This port is active in the SCPC mode of
operation. It is a serial, synchronous, full-duplex RS-422/RS-423 port capable of
supporting data rates up to 8.472 Mbps. The I/O port‟s clock and data signals are
balanced, uni-polar (between 0 and +5V), RS-422 interfaces that are compatible with
Balanced MIL-STD-188-114.
