The I/F Options control the voltages on the TX and RX connectors.
Please confirm that the attached equipment is capable of operating
with DC voltage applied to its RX and/or TX port prior to applying the
I/F Options settings. This could cause damage to equipment that is
attached to the receive and/or transmit port.

Satellite Setup

After changing a satellite configuration item, please wait for at least 15 seconds before
turning off the Modem power. This allows the Modem software time to write the updated
configuration to its persistent storage.

6.3.1 Satellite List Screen

This list of satellites is the entry point to updating satellite data. The selected satellite
("Yes" in the selected column) is the one you have chosen on the Network page. (See
Figure 6-4) There are four (4) satellites allowed. "ZeroTest" is a keyword name that tells
the Modem to operate with a zero round trip delay for lab testing.
Clicking on a satellite Beam or BW Segment button brings up the corresponding Editor
screen. Clicking on an entry makes it active and it will then appear in the Satellite
Entry/Update fields. Data for the "selected satellite" may not be changed when the
terminal is active in a network.
Refer to Table 6-3 Satellite Database for data descriptions for this window.

Table 6-2 Modem Screen

Displays the computed range of I/F frequencies that the Modem will
use based on the selected satellite bandwidth segment and the block
up and down converters.
Allows selection of the internal frequency reference, or use of an
external 5 or 10 MHz reference to lock the internal reference.
This allows you to selectively enable 10MHz and/or +18V output on
the RX port, and 10 MHz and/or Ext Volts DC (VDC) output on the TX
port.
