Table 10-1 R2CP Config Tab (Cont'd)
The weighting factor employed in the weighted recursive exponential filter,
used to smooth the maximum data rate on a per-destination basis. Default
is 10.
This section is related to parameters that control the R2CP protocol packet
exchanges with the router.
This section is related to R2CP node-level "adjacency" aspects.
The interval at which the Modem transmits the R2CP Modem Initialization
Message (MIM) to configure R2CP operational parameters with the local
(i.e. terrestrially attached) data router and establish R2CP adjacency. The
Modem and its local data router are R2CP peers. R2CP adjacency means
each R2CP peer is aware of the existence of the other and receives
continuous confirmation the other R2CP peer can communicate. The MIM
is sent at this interval until the data router responds with an R2CP Router
Offer Message (ROM), or R2CP is disabled or the node logs out of the
network. Units are in seconds. Default is 5.
The Modem sends the R2CP Node Heartbeat message to the router and
expects to receive the R2CP Node Heartbeat message in return from the
router. Value 0 means the Modem will send no R2CP Node Heartbeat
messages. The R2CP peers send the R2CP Node Heartbeat message to
maintain R2CP adjacency. After transmitting three Node Heartbeat
messages with no response from the router, the Modem will tear down
adjacency and all sessions. Units are in seconds. Default is 5.
The interval at which the Modem sends the R2CP Node Terminate
messages to the router and expects to receive the R2CP Node Terminate
Acknowledge message from the router. After transmitting "Term Msg Tx
count" Node Terminate Messages with no response from the router, the
Modem will tear down adjacency and all sessions. Units are in
milliseconds. Default is 1000.
The number of times the Modem sends R2CP Node Terminate messages
before tearing down adjacency and all sessions. Default is 3.
Parameters in this section are related to the R2CP session-level packets.
The interval at which the Modem transmits the R2CP Session Initiate
message while waiting for an R2CP Session Initiate Ack message. Units
are milliseconds. Default is 1000.
After this many transmissions of R2CP Session Initiate message without
receiving an R2CP Session Initiate Ack, the Modem will send a no-ack
trap. Default is 3.
The interval at which the Modem transmits the R2CP Session Terminate
message while at the same time waiting for an R2CP Session Terminate
Ack. The Modem starts sending the R2CP Session Terminate message
when a remote MAC address is no longer present on the NCW network.
Units are milliseconds. Default is 1000.
The maximum number of times the Modem sends the R2CP Session
Terminate message while waiting for an R2CP Session Terminate Ack.
After this many transmissions, the Modem deletes the session context.
Default is 3.
Selecting this button will close Multicast error log. Another log will be
created when another R2CP event occurs.
This button is enabled when user modifies or enters new value(s).
This button becomes visible when Apply button becomes "enabled".
