The Cover describes the common name of the Ruggedized
Internet Protocol (IP) Modem as well as information on the
manufacturer and manual.
Refer to the Table of Contents to find out where particular topics
can be found. The Table of Contents lists each major section
and subordinate section showing the page number.
The Introduction identifies the equipment covered in this manual
as well as providing a description of associated equipment
requirements.
The technical specifications of the included equipment are
covered in this section.
This section covers the controls and indicators of the Modem.
Only controls and indicators used in normal operations are
covered.
The Modem requires software be installed on a user computer in
order to interface. This section covers the installation and
configuration required for the user computer to interface and
manage the equipment.
This section provides an overview of the common menu
locations and options. Only Modem-specific software is
discussed.
This section details procedures on configuring the Modem as
part of a Terminal system.
This section discusses the security methods provided to protect
and encrypt Modem communications.
This section provides a theory of operations for networks and
details the procedures required to operate the Modem as a
Network Controller (NC), along with the unique features
available in that mode.
This section details procedures required to operate the Modem
as a Network Member (NM).
This section details procedures required to operate the Modem
in the MIL-STD-188-165A mode along with the unique features
available in that mode.
