8. (Optional) Configure Multicast DNS (mDNS)

mDNS is a protocol that resolves host names in small networks that do not have a DNS server.

mDNS is disabled by default. To enable:

(config)> monitoring bluetooth_scanner ssh mdns enable true

9. Confirm that users who will use the Bluetooth scanner server are members of an

authentication group that has Bluetooth scanner access enabled. See

for authentication group configuration information.

10. Save the configuration and apply the change:

(config)> save

Configuration saved.

11. Type exit to exit the Admin CLI.

Depending on your device configuration, you may be presented with an Access selection

menu. Type quit to disconnect from the device.

Display the output of the Bluetooth scanner.

You can use one of the following methods to view the output of the Bluetooth scanner:

From the Status page of the WebUI.

From the System Logs page of the WebUI. You can also search the output, as well as

download the output in text format, from the System Logs page.

From the command line when logged into the TX54 device.

From a remote host, by connecting to the TX54 device by using the scanner's SSH port.
